BactaClean MicrobeMoss is a highly effective absorbent of heating oil, diesel fuel and other oiIy materials (hydraulic fluids, machine oils, solvents and monomers, etc.). The product consists primarily of granular and powdered peat moss, some powdered clay particIes and trace nutrients (for accelerated biodegradation) with BactaClean PHC, Type 2 microbes (1 billion CFU/gram). The PHC Type 2 product is a blend of specially selected and adapted microorganisms that will biologically degrade the absorbed oil. The peat moss itself will degrade over time when used on outdoor spills. Suggested uses of MicrobeMoss include absorption and degradation of oil spills in environmentally sensitive areas such as fresh and salt water marshes and wetlands as well as fuel oil spills around oil tanks, heavy machinery and shop areas, etc. MicrobeMoss will absorb about 14.3 liquid ounces per cup of product.

BactaClean Type C consists of finely powdered clay with BactaClean PHC, Type 2 microbes (50 Million CFU/gram). The product is intended to absorb and degrade oily materials on hard surfaces. It will pick up much more material than typical coarse clay absorbents because its smaller particle sizes and greatly increased total surface area per pound. Type C will absorb about 10.6 liquid ounces per cup of product. It can also be used on other surfaces where oily materials are not quickly absorbed.

BactaClean Type CMM consists of a blend of finely powdered clay and granular peat moss with BactaClean PHC, Type 2 microbes (100 million CFU/gram). The product is intended to absorb and degrade oily material or pools of oily materials in situ or it can be swept up cleanly and easily. Absorbs approximately 14.9 liquid ounces per cup of product. Great for fuel oil tank spills or overfills.
